Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the website located at https://www.getplot.com (the "Site") as well as our communications platform, software, mobile application, and all other services offered by PLOT through the Site or otherwise (collectively, including the Site, the "Services"). If you do not agree with the terms, do not access, or use the Services, the Site, or any other aspect of PLOT’s business.This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party applications or software that integrate with the Services, or any other third-party products, services, or businesses. If you have purchased a paid account, a separate End User License Agreement governs the delivery, access, and use of the Services, including any data exchanged via the Services (the "EULA").Further, the administrator (e.g., the general contractor or owner of the project) that claims a project workspace ("Project Hub") or a team workspace ("Team Hub") controls access to and the data within the Project Hub or Team Hub that its team members provide. Information We Collect And Receive

PLOT may collect and receive the following kinds of information from and about you:

Personal Data. When you create a PLOT account, we will ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal data may include, but is not limited to, first name and last name, email address, and telephone number.

Content You Provide. When you use our Services, you routinely submit content and other information that we may collect from you.

Usage Data. We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you access the Services ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data includes information about how you use our Services, such as the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, IP address, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Other Information. You may choose to provide other information directly to us. For example, we may collect information when you request customer support, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us.

PLOT may use the collected data for the following purposes:

To provide, update, and maintain our Services. This includes the use of your information to support the delivery of the Services, prevent or address service errors, security, or technical issues, analyze and monitor usage, trends, and other activities, or at your request.

We may also contact you to inform you about changes in our Services, our Services offerings, and important Services-related notices, such as security and fraud notices. In addition, we sometimes send emails about new product features, promotional communications, or other news about PLOT.

For billing, account management, and other administrative matters. PLOT may need to contact you for invoicing, account management, and similar reasons and we use account data to administer accounts and keep track of billing and payments.

To investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse. We may use your information to keep our services secure, to prevent misuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service and other policies against users who violate them.

As required by applicable law, legal process, or regulation.If the information collected is aggregated or de-identified so that it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, PLOT may use it for any business purpose.

Data Retention

We generally retain your personal data as long as you keep your account open or as needed to provide you the Services. We do not interfere with the data submitted to a Project Hub or Team Hub, which is owned by the administrator or collectively by the team members of such Project Hub or Team Hub. Any information provided by you prior to leaving a Project Hub or Team Hub will remain viewable to the other team members. PLOT will retain all messages, files, and other content submitted to the Project Hub or Team Hub for the lifetime of such Project Hub or Team Hub. PLOT may retain information pertaining to you for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This may include keeping your information after you have deactivated your account for the period of time needed for PLOT to pursue legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with (and demonstrate compliance with) legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

How We Share And Disclose Your Information

We may share the information we collect in the following circumstances:

When you tell us to. When you add your content to the Services, you are telling us to share that content with the other users within the Project Hub or Team Hub. Who can access that information is determined by who can access a particular Project Hub or Team Hub. Project Hub and Team Hub administrators set those permissions, and they control who may access the Project Hub or Team Hub. We may also share your information as you otherwise instruct us to.

With our vendors. We may engage third-party companies or individuals as service providers or business partners to process your information and support our business.

During a change to PLOT’s business. If PLOT engages in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, sale of some or all of PLOT’s assets or stock, financing, public offering of securities, acquisition of all or a portion of our business, a similar transaction or proceeding, or steps in contemplation of such activities, some or all of your information may be shared or transferred, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.

Aggregated or de-identified data. We may disclose or use aggregated or de-identified information for any purpose. For example, we may share aggregated or de-identified information with prospects or partners for business or research.

The Services may provide you access to websites or services owned and operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any third-party websites or services. We take a number of organizational, technical, and physical measures designed to protect the personal information we collect, both during transmission and once we receive it.The safety and security of your information also depends on you. We urge you to be careful about giving information in shared areas of the Services, such as Project Hubs and Team Hubs. The information you share in such areas may be viewed by other users of the Services.Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.

Age Limitations

To the extent prohibited by applicable law, PLOT does not allow the use of our Services and Site by anyone younger than 16 years old. If you learn that anyone younger than 16 has unlawfully provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

PLOT may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Laws, regulations, and industry standards evolve, which may make those changes necessary, or we may make changes to our services or business.
